The OpenWest 2013 session schedule is up!

While there may still be some minor changes, our tracks and session schedule is live! You can even choose which sessions you’d like to attend, and sync your personalized schedule to your various devices.

With 108 announced sessions so far, this will be our biggest year ever!

Our tracks this year include: Business, Cloud, CMS, Community, Data, Embedded, Geek Life, Javascript, Mobile, Ops, Perl, PHP, Python, QA, Ruby, Security, Tools & Techniques, and Web. We will also have hands-on security and embedded hardware labs each day presented by theTransistor.

Now comes the moment you’ve been waiting for. The community voting for
your favorite presentations. You’re going to be VERY pleased!

By providing an opportunity for our audience to vote on the presentations they want to see, we tailor the conference to the needs of the community and provide a truly powerful resource.

There are many magnificent presentations posted there and I’m VERY
excited for this year. Everything from Information Security to Perl to open hardware.

Call for Papers extended for one last week!

SALT LAKE CITY, UT—FEBRUARY 11, 2013— Utah Open Source, today announced it is extending the Call for Papers until Saturday Feb 16th (11:59p) for its 6th Annual OpenWest Conference to take place May 2 to May 4, 2013.  Community voting and notification to be the week following.

Tickets for the OpenWest Conference 2013 went on sale today.

Tickets are priced at $80 per person or $20 per person for a team of four or more people. Discount codes are available for user groups and other members of the community.

The Call for Papers runs from January 3rd to Feb 10th at 11:59pm.  Community voting takes place on Feb 11 – 15 and speaker notification on Feb 18th.

As the attendance of the Utah Open Source Conference has grown over the years, so has its regional reach into the surrounding communities.
