Frequently Asked Questions

Why do all my team members have to be from the same University?
This in an intercollegiate challenge we would like it to be clear which College or University won the competition
Why do we need to have a sponsoring department?
The winning team will also receive a reward for their department to help fund research and other activities.
I work better alone, is it necessary to have a team of four?
Yes, teams must have four members, that way the difficulty and the rewards will be equal for every team.

The competition is all three days. There will be a cut-off time at the end of the third day to allow for verification and awarding
How much time each day would be required?
There is currently no time limit. We allow working on the opened challenges 24×7 and it is expected that the competition will occupy the majority of the participant’s time.

The challenges are typically a combination of Red Team challenges / Scavenger Hunt / QA / etc
What day/time is the awards ceremony?
It will be on the evening of the third day (Saturday, July 16). The exact time will be sent out to registered teams before the event.
